Description
Have you ever experienced the magic, the fun and the stress-releasing benefits of a community drum circle? Have you ever discovered you were naturally talented at an art form the first time you tried it? Group hand drumming is so much fun because it’s easy, and anyone can do it, regardless of age, race, religion, ability, language or musical experience. All you need is a space, some drums, a few nice people, and ideally, an experienced facilitator to make it that much better!
When: Wednesday December 17
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Where: Joshua Farm Gallery, 1086 Burnhamthorpe Rd E.
Cost: $25 each
NO MUSICAL OR DRUMMING EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED!
Drum circles are a fun & exciting way to connect with your friends, family, fellow community members & yourself through recreational music-making. Drum circles also create a supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to participate at their own level, without any pressure or judgment.
Come join us in a beautiful, warm space with high ceilings (and the perfect acoustics for drumming) to have fun, learn the basics of hand drumming, play some rhythm games, try out some other rhythm instruments, and come home with some catchy rhythms that we will be eager to play again.
Extra hand drums and rhythms instruments will be available on a first come, first served basis, or you can bring your own!
